6 Foods to Make Your Skin Glow

In a world where there is a product for everything, going with a more organic approach may be a little unconventional. Here at the Stylist Handbook we have compiled a list of foods that will not only keep you healthy but make your skin glow.

1. Arugula- This dark leafy green is an excellent source for healthy skin as it contains vitamin A and sulfur. Also the chlorophyll in arugula works as a detoxifier. You can usually find arugula in spring mix salads at the market.

2. Avocado- This creamy fruit (yes it's a fruit) has all kinds of healthy vitamins on its own, but in combination with foods like tomatoes, bell peppers or carrots, it can help absorb up to five times more of the antioxidants, lycopene, and beta carotene.

3. Pumpkin Seeds- This is a great skin beautifying seed. Pumpkin seeds get their power from zinc, omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9. It's also rich in other essential fatty acids.

4. Blueberries- Think of these little blueberries as a weapon against dull skin. Blueberries and other members of the berry family are full of antioxidants and Vitamin C which brightens your skin, evens out its tone and fights off free radicals that cause signs of aging. Eating a handful a day will make your skin glow.

5. Radishes- Radishes contain a number of minerals and compounds and are said to be the most beautifying food of all. They are high in sulfur, silicon and Vitamin C which in combination work together to create beautiful glowing skin by boosting collagen. So slice a few to make it a salad topper or even a quick snack.

6. Salmon- By now you've heard doctors and nutritionists raving about the benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids; Salmon is one of them. Foods full of Omega-3 fatty acids act as a natural lubricant by warding off dullness that may happen to your skin. Add a piece of salmon to your diet about once a week and you will notice a change.

By having a healthy diet you'll see a major improvement with both your health and your skin. Just remember that your skin is the largest living organ so treat it right. Comment down below and let me know what other foods you use to stay beautiful and healthy!
