 Nikki Rich Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion Show at Concept LA

I had the pleasure of meeting Nikki Lund of Nikki Rich last year at CONCEPT LA during LA Fashion week, which made me very enthused to witness her premier runway show at CONCEPT that took place on March 11th at the Siren Studios in Hollywood. Furthermore, its no secret that the collection has a rock star influence be it Nikki Lund's partner is Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora.

The collection showed a strong understanding of high quality fabrics and daring cuts.  The overall look of the line was sophisticated and casual in dark and neutral hues. Nikki creates pieces that flow beautifully on a woman's body.

Included were tailored jackets with treated fabric accents, layering pieces, and effortless dresses that work well for any occasion. Her pattern work was smart and catchy and I'm a fan of her understated pieces, as they nicely captivate a runway.

Overall, what many can appreciate is that the collection is wearable, as all the pieces could be rocked in and about town.  Along with her whimsical hair and makeup direction, Nikki Lund creates clothes that evoke the idea of a woman who is in control of her own destiny, enjoying the adventure of life in progress.
